Being part of yesterday’s presentation ‘How your small business can make a big impact’ together with Yvonne Gorman from Essential Print Services and my colleague Craig Barker from Koobr was a giggle from planning to presentation.
Our goal, ‘Make it memorable’, and the first suggestion was….fancy dress, oh no here we go! We then decided to create three characters that are all struggling with marketing their small business from different aspects.
Bob really needed to implement an effective CRM system and start connecting with his customer, Barbara needed to kickstart her online presence and Ben was missing a trick not making the most of printed messages to connect directly with his customers.
Our volunteers who actively contributed to the presentation were stars and styled the headwear superbly. We hope all who attended took something of value from it and for those of you who didn’t here’s our final tips.
- It is far easier to get more business from your existing customers than it is to make a new customer. Make the most of your existing relationships.
- If people aren’t engaging with your social media as much as you would like it doesn’t mean they are not listening.
- Having some printed marketing collateral ready for action at all times, is essential. So, make a great first impression.
