Derby Hub members unite to help businesses easing out of lockdown

Since meeting at Derby Hub, two members have been trying to find a way of uniting their services and have since joined forces to help businesses communicate their plans for coming out of lockdown.

Holly Daulby, of Honest Communications, and Simon Smith, from JAKT Photography, met at Derby Hub and during lockdown have been discussing ways that they can work together. They soon realised that they can help businesses communicate the changes they have made, and plans that they have put in place for reopening and introducing social distancing measures.

Holly commented: “Simon and I have been chatting for a while about how we can work together as there is such synergy in what both our businesses do so now feel the time is right to join forces be able to help people. As people begin to think about getting back into the swing of things, they need to consider how they are communicating their new practices for both employees and customers. Finding the right words can be tricky but it’s vital to be clear at the moment, which is where we can hopefully help.”

Honest will provide the copywriting for materials such as newsletters, social media posts, blogs, website announcements and even internal communication handbooks and statements and JAKT will provide the supporting photography to help visualise the changes.

Simon added: “Businesses will be implementing social distancing measures and being able to see this will help ease the return to work for employees and encourage customers to return too. It’s more important than ever that companies communicate with clarity. This ensures that employees and customers are informed of latest updates and practices being implemented, as well as giving peace of mind about visiting premises, shops and building sites. The combination of photography and strategic wording can definitely help do this.”
